Emergence Festival is a theatre festival dedicated to young actors in training or recently graduated.

Context

Objectives

• Create the visual identity of the festival.
• Develop the website for desktop and mobile versions.

My role

• Branding: logo creation, definition of colors and typography.
• UI Design: creation of mockups on Figma.
• Web Development: design and creation of the site with React, Next.js and Tailwind CSS.

Process

Research & Inspiration

• Study of Geneva theatre websites for visual inspiration and methods to display shows.

Feature Definition

• Design of a dynamic homepage
• Creation of pages for each show

• Wireframes for the site and Prototypes on Figma

Conclusion

Challenges

• The chosen typography did not suit the client, leading to a reconsideration of the art direction.
• Creation of a flexible design for different types of shows.

Results & Learnings

• The website is still under development. We maintain regular communication about the project's progress. Recently, I was asked to create a temporary logo for the festival to be submitted to the municipality's grant application booklet.
